Chocolate Milkshake Recipe
Our real chocolate flakes aren't just for hot chocolates. You can also use them to make creamy milkshakes at home.
All you'll need is your favourite % flakes, milk and some soft scoop ice cream. We recommend using our chocolate shaker to make a quick and easy frothy drink.
Milkshakes can be made vegan at home with either our 38% flakes, or any % over 54%, plant-based milk and dairy free ice cream.
Ingredients + equipment:
- 5 teaspoons of your favourite % chocolate flakes
- 200ml of dairy or plant based milk
- 3-8 small scoops of soft-scoop ice cream
- A chocolate shaker
- A glass
Instructions:
Start by making a small hot chocolate. Add milk up to level 2 in your shaker (about 100ml), then add 5 teaspoons of your favourite % chocolate flakes.
Put the shaker in the microwave (without the lid) for half a minute. Or, you can heat your milk on the hob and add it to the flakes in the shaker.
Put the lid on the shaker, making sure it’s pressed down, and then secure the lid fully. Shake for 10 seconds or until all the flakes melt. Then top up with cold milk.
Add 3 small scoops of ice cream, shake and then taste. You can add more ice cream depending on your taste preferences.
We recommend adding small scoops or teaspoons of ice cream so that your ice cream melts properly.
Give your drink another quick shake, then pour and enjoy your chocolate milkshake.
Using a different hot chocolate maker?
You can also use hot chocolate makers to make milkshakes. Use the quantitites above to make a small strong hot chocolate in your maker. Add to a glass with the ice cream and milk, then mix (a small milk whisk works well) and enjoy.
