Spiced hot chocolate recipe
A version of our spiced mocha, but without the coffee.
A real winter warmer with cinnamon, nutmeg and a kick of chilli added to our smooth 54% Dark hot chocolate.
This recipe can be made fully vegan by just by using your choice of plant-based milk.
Ingredients + equipment:
- 54% dark hot chocolate flakes
- 200ml of dairy or plant-based milk
- Chilli powder
- Nutmeg (whole)
- Cinnamon (ground)
- A saucepan (if making on the hob)
- Your favourite mug
Instructions to make on the hob or microwave:
Heat 200ml (about one large mug) of milk in a saucepan on the hob, or in a large mug in the microwave. Make sure it doesn’t boil as this will affect the taste.
Add about 8 teaspoons (depending on your taste) of 54% dark hot chocolate flakes.
Add a smidgen of chilli powder, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/8 grated nutmeg.
Stir everything through and continue stirring until your flakes have fully melted.
Pour into your favourite mug and enjoy your spiced hot chocolate.
