Nutmeg iced chocolate
Nutmeg is a nostalgic and warming addition to both our hot and cold drinks, and is a popular choice with our 70% Dark iced chocolate, giving it an aromatic boost.
This subtle yet intoxicating spice originates from Indonesia and was used by Romans as incense due to its pleasing potency. Include a freshly grated pinch of this fragrant fellow for a warming addition to your next Knoops.
Ingredients:
- 70% Extra dark chocolate flakes
- A chocolate shaker
- 200ml of dairy or plant-based milk
- Nutmeg (whole)
Instructions:
Start by making a small hot chocolate: Add milk up to level 2 in your shaker (about 100ml), then add 5 teaspoons of 70% White chocolate flakes.
Put the shaker in the microwave (without the lid) for half a minute. Or, you can heat your milk on the hob and add it to the flakes in the shaker.
Put the lid on the shaker, making sure the top is pressed down, and then secure the lid fully. Shake for 10 seconds or until all the flakes melt.
Grate and add 1/8 of a nutmeg, then top up with cold milk.
For iced chocolates - Add some ice cubes to your shaker, give your drink another quick shake, then pour and enjoy.
For milkshakes - Add 3 small scoops of ice cream, shake and then taste. You can add more ice cream depending on your taste preferences. Make sure to add small scoops or teaspoons of ice cream so that it melts properly.
