Jens says: Our mildest dark chocolate is truly versatile if you want to experiment with additional flavours. Add some chilli to give it a little heat, or steep some fragrant cardamom.
Instructions
Heat 200ml of milk (1 large mug) - frothed milk works best for the authentic Knoops taste. Add 8 tsp of chocolate flakes and stir until fully dissolved.
Pairing
Simple: Chilli or coffee
Method: Add a smidgen of chilli powder to your heated hot chocolate and stir, before pouring out. Or, pull a single or double shot of espresso, pour into your heated hot chocolate and stir, before pouring out.
Adventurous: Cardamom or orange
Method: Add 1 tsp of cardamom powder to your heated hot chocolate and stir, before pouring out. Or, finely grate an orange - not too deep, as you don't want the light, bitter part - to glean 1/2 tsp of zest, then add to your heated hot chocolate and stir, before pouring out.
