Tasting notes

Notes of sweet red berries and fruity tang accompany the distinctive pinky hue of our 47% ruby hot chocolate.

Ruby chocolate was only introduced to the public in 2017 as the fourth type of chocolate. It’s thought to be produced by specific unfermented cocoa beans, but the exact method is a trade secret.

Goes great with
Vanilla to add a touch of creaminess.

How to use

Instructions
Simply heat 200ml of your choice of dairy or plant-based milk in a microwave, milk frother or in a saucepan on the hob. Add 8 teaspoons of chocolate flakes and stir until melted through. Or use one of our makers to craft your drink.

Our flakes work in all other hot chocolate makers.

You can also make iced chocolates and milkshakes with our real chocolate flakes.
Knoopology at home
Stir through 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla paste, or steep 6 mint leaves in your hot chocolate for 1 minute, strain, then serve. See more recipes here.
Jens says
During my childhood I was hooked on a particular chocolate bar, which included yoghurt and freeze-dried strawberries. It tasted very similar to Ruby chocolate. Another throwback to my youth - except now I would add a little bit of black pepper to my hot chocolate.
